first impression

Hi Rosalyn & Paul, We did a brief account of the accommodation in English incase you wanted it for the web site. We also did some comments on our stay.
Location; Saint Martin Lalande is a small village conveniently located 10 kilometres from the interesting market town of Castelnaudary famous for its cassoulet.
Castelnaudary is the main port of the Canal Du Midi. The Grand Bassin in the town is the largest open area of water in the canal, and is today its major pleasure port.
36 kilometres west is the historic city of Carcassonne and 60 kilometres north is the city of Toulouse.
It is one and a half hours from the Mediterranean coast.
Villa Maria is a modern, beautifully decorated four bed roomed house recently renovated to an exceptionally high standard.
There are three double bedrooms and one twin bedroom all bedrooms have en-suites.
The kitchen is well equipped with all modern facilities, gas cooker with electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.
There is a large open plan living area with three large leather sofas, large TV and DVD player, a dining area with a large table which easily seats eight. The open plan area leads onto a conservatory with a large Jacuzzi. Double doors lead out into a sunny garden and an outdoor eating and BBQ area, with a picturesque view of the undulating countryside.
The gite can cater for up to eight persons.

Review: 3 of us stayed in the villa maria and found the accommodation excellent. It had everything we needed.We all enjoyed the jacuzzi.The gite was perfectly located within easy travelling distance to the picturesque village of Mirepoix, Limoux, Revel, Lautrec as well as Carcassonne and the Mediterranean resort of Gruissan. 10/10
